Fanduel Cash Game Thoughts Week 7
I never like slates like last week. I knew I didn’t feel good about it and yet I played anyway. With that being said, I feel much much better about this week’s slate and can’t wait to get it started.
QB:
$7.7K Kyler Murray @ New York Giants – Primary Option
Rinse and repeat with Kyler Murray this week. I wrote him up last week as a top cash game play and I think we could go back to the well here against the G-men. I still don’t think we have truly seen Kyler’s ceiling yet despite him balling out last week. At some point he is going to have a massive passing day along with rushing and this very well could be it against the Giants defense who is bottom five in fantasy points allowed to QBs this season. Even after the big game last week with 28 Fanduel points, they failed to change his salary at all so he is just the seventh most expensive QB this week.
$7.2K Daniel Jones vs Arizona Cardinals – Secondary Option
If not going with Kyler on Fanduel then I like the other side of the football in Danny Dimes this week. The Giants are a home favorite with a healthy team total which generally bodes well for fantasy QBs. Additionally, I think people will be off him as he has faced a tough string of matchups over the last couple games. He now gets a generous Arizona defense that also ranks bottom five in most fantasy points allowed to the QB position.
RB:
$7.9K Leonard Fournette @ Cincinnati Bengals – Primary Option
Fournette is expected to be one of the most popular plays on the entire slate but for good reason. He just continues to see true workhorse usage and that doesn’t come very often in the NFL in 2019. In fact, with no CMC on the main slate, he is one of the few RBs that we can trust that they won’t be coming off the field. He has seen 72 carries and 16 targets over the last three weeks and now gets a good matchup against the Bengals.
$8.6K Saquon Barkley vs Arizona Cardinals – Secondary Option
The return of Barkley gives us another workhorse RB in a good spot this week. He is priced up and that is what makes him the secondary option to Fournette but if you have the salary then it is tough to argue with Barkley. Plus he is actually $300 cheaper on Fanduel than over on Draftkings this week. In the two full games that he played, he rushed for over 100 yards and had at least six targets. Now the Giants are a home favorite in an up-tempo matchup against the Cardinals. Load up on Barkley with confidence this week.
WR:
$7.6K T.Y. Hilton vs Houston Texans – Primary Option
Welcome to week 7 – The T.Y. Hilton week. Hilton has startling career numbers against the Houston Texans. In 15 career games against them, he has gone over 75 yards receiving in 11 of them. Three of those games, he eclipsed 175 receiving yards. Aside from his career splits, he just projects as a strong play in a good game environment at home on turf.
$6.2K Mike Williams @ Tennessee Titans – Secondary Option
Some might only consider Williams as a tournament play this week but I think that would be a mistake. I would put him in the same category as Will Fuller a couple weeks ago in that he is getting a TON of opportunity although it has yet to really translate to fantasy production. Over his last three games, he has seen 30 targets and 480 air yards which is just absurd. The price is super cheap because they played on Sunday night so we need to capitalize on it this week. The game total isn’t great but when you factor in price and opportunity, Williams is a very strong play this week.
TE:
$5.7K Hunter Henry @ Tennessee Titans – Primary Option
Hunter Henry is another player that we can capitalize on the pricing for the Chargers. Henry returned from his injury in a huge way, catching eight balls for 100 yards and two touchdowns. The matchup and game total isn’t ideal but with Henry’s huge redzone role and the cheap price tag, he is the best point per dollar play at the position this week.
$6.8K Evan Engram vs Arizona Cardinals – Secondary Option
Everyone loves to stream TEs against the Cardinals so you can expect some heavy ownership on Engram this week, even with the price bump. Engram is averaging over nine targets per game and now the offense gets Barkley back which should help open things up for him. The Giants have a strong team total and Engram is likely to be a big part of their scoring attack.
D/ST:
$3.7K New York Giants vs Arizona Cardinals – Primary Option
This is basically a price play on a defense that has been playing well and has a decent matchup. Kyler will take a couple sacks and the Giants have been getting some decent pressure on QBs lately. We even saw them get lucky and score a defensive TD against Brady. For the price, you can’t beat them on Fanduel.
$3.5K Washington Redskins vs San Francisco 49ers – Secondary Option
If you are looking to punt the position like we did with the Jets D/ST last week, I think the Skins are the right play here. I’ve heard some people talk up the Dolphins against Allen but the Dolphins are allowing nearly 30 points every single game and are generating almost no pressure on opposing QBs. The Redskins are at least getting sacks so I prefer them even with the slight increase in salary over the Dolphins.
