Philadelphia Eagles -4.5 @ Washington Redskins
The Eagles are coming off an exciting overtime win against the New York Giants on Monday night. Although they will be without Alshon Jeffery in this game, it should not make a huge difference as I expect them to keep the positive momentum going forward in a plus matchup against the Redskins. Despite the offense struggling at times, the Eagles run defense has continued it’s dominance throughout this season. The Redskins will have a hard time trying to run the ball with Adrian Peterson and the Eagles have been better in the secondary as of late. Expect the Eagles to roll in this one.
Tampa Bay Bucs - 3 @ Detroit Lions
This line is a bit confusing to me as I think it should be closer to -6.5 even with the loss of Mike Evans. I expect Jameis Winston to play and if he does then I don’t see the Lions being able to keep up with the Bucs scoring especially after losing Marvin Jones to IR. With the Bucs strong run defense and only having to worry about Kenny Golladay as a pass catcher, I don’t see them having a problem covering here. Lastly, Justin Watson should fill in nicely for Mike Evans so his absence shouldn’t hurt Tampa Bay as much as this line indicates.
New York Giants – 3.5 vs Miami Dolphins
We have been profitable betting on Miami over the last few weeks but that changes here. The Giants are coming off the OT loss to Philly on Monday night and will look to take out some aggression on this Miami defense. The Dolphins rank dead last in nearly every defensive category and the Giants offense has found new life with Eli Manning back under center. The Dolphins star WR, Davante Parker is currently questionable as he left Sunday’s game with a concussion. If he can’t go then Miami is going to have some serious problems moving the ball down the field. Look for Barkley to have a monster game here and the Giants will cover easily.
